英語の歌（Frozen）
昨日家元のブログで知った
「アナと雪の女王」の挿入歌Frozen
この英語バージョンと日本語バージョン比較にはまっております。
中学校授業的には音節・リズム比較も有益だと思いますが、
私的には何より字幕翻訳の妙がたった一曲の中にもいろいろあって、面白いですねえ。

私的には何より字幕翻訳の妙がたった一曲の中にもいろいろあって、面白いですねえ。
（Let it go!を「ありのままで」と訳してみたり、「これでいいの」と訳し分けてみたり）...
字数制限の厳しい字幕翻訳にあって、その場面・状況をいかにぴったりと表現できる日本語表現を選択するか、その翻訳者の力量が求められて、上手いなあって思います。（その昔『翻訳の世界』の愛読者だった私☆）
いや、こういう日⇔英の言葉の世界にワクワクする私は、やっぱりちょっと職業を間違えたかも（笑）
っていうか、こういう「ことばの世界」をいかに生徒たちに伝えるか、ですね。（以前に授業で、"I love you."を夏目漱石が「月が綺麗ですね」って訳したっていう逸話とかは話していたりしたけど）
この「アナと雪の女王」は観に行かなくちゃ！
ちなみに、↓の歌詞、関係代名詞あり、不定詞あり、let構文あり、でなかなかに授業向けでもあります☆

いろいろかなり意訳もありますが、この↑の
The past is in the pastを「もう決めたの」って訳すのとか、う～ん、そう来るかあって感じです。
あと、個人的にはレ・ミゼラブルの「民衆の歌」とかも、とっても好きです☆
